In this workshop/class you’ll come away with at least one ‘funky junk’ cuff. A fun little mixed-media ‘gypsy gal charm’ bracelet, so to speak…one that will incorporate a little bit of ‘juxtapostioning’ with those little treasures, and trinkets that you’ve been collecting. Anything goes in this free-flowing class . I’d venture to say that you could make at least two…so, bring plenty of supplies…just in case you get carried away in creative cuff-la-la-land! It happened to me!

• Ribbons, fabric strips, jewelry chains, (old or new), leather scraps & strips, vintage cloth tape measures, vintage belt buckles…laces, old hem tapes and seam bindings…tiny elastics, different widths and lengths (enough to go around your wrist!)
• Embellishments…buttons, medals, vintage keys, beads, jewelry parts and pieces…patches, charms, washers, brass/silver/gold-’ish’ rings, (not as in for your fingers…but, those just may work as well!) millinery flowers, shells…etc…
• Needles and threads…toss in some sturdy threads…like embroidery and upholstery.

Annie Lockhart is a mixed-media assemblage artist, photographer, designer, and author. Annie teaches creative workshops in the United States and soon to be abroad (italy…may 2009!) with a focus on making heart and soul connections through the use of symbolism, memories and metaphors. Her artwork has been featured in national art magazines and found in juried fine art shows throughout the country. Annie has her first book coming out in the fall of next year.
