Come and spend the day learning many different ways to create stone pages using mica, natural elements, such as feathers, butterfly wings, pressed flowers and leaves, to create a truly one of a kind book. No two will EVER be alike. Don’t be afraid if you’ve never made a book, binding this book takes only a needle and thread and a few knots....no special or daunting stitching!
Your class includes a kit that will have poetry and quotes (nature themed) that you can choose from to make your biggest book. The largest book in the samples is a three dimensional illustrated version of Mary Oliver’s Poem, The Book Of Time as an example of what you can do!
We will also create a wearable book with a copper cover that is bird themed. You may opt to bring your own images for this wearable piece. Please email me for specifics if you plan to do so.
If time allows and you have sufficient materials….you can make as many “books” as you like once you learn the techniques.
