description
In this class we will combine our personal photographs with collage elements into curious new assemblages on paper. Using various wax, resist and painting techniques we will explore composition and color methods as we transfer, incise, embed and glaze the wax. You will leave class with several 8x10” photographic encaustics on paper and information on how to frame and otherwise present the work. There will be time for a discussion of encaustic painting in general and a question and answer period.
