Toy or Paper Theaters were very popular in the 1800’s. Many
were mass produced or sold as kits which were assembled at home
for miniature performances. So, come join me and we will
construct our own small 10"x 9” paper theater. Our theater will
be make of sturdy board with three interchangeable
backgrounds, curtains and a three dimensional marquee. You can add your own special touch by bringing pictures to add to the inside and outside of the theater, or you can use mine. The backdrops will be made using gel transfer and collage techniques
And the finishing touch will be three tiny jointed ballerinas
Dressed in crepe paper tutu’s, ribbons and wings.
Once in the theater, two will twirl and jump and one will
Pirouette!
