description
Drawing was the first kind of visual art that we made as children, yet for many, it becomes an inaccessible and intimidating art form as we grow up. This workshop is about reclaiming the joys of spontaneous mark-making and doodling, and freeing ourselves up to draw naturally like children again.
In this relaxing and stress-free class, we'll explore drawing as a playful and effective tool for personal exploration. When you realize that there is no "wrong" way to draw, it becomes a satisfying, surprising, and therapeutic way to investigate the landscapes of your own inner world.
Hang out with me and doodle in the hand made, people-shaped art journals I'll be providing.
Theo Ellsworth is a self-taught artist living in Portland, Oregon. He's madly in love with doodling and drawing, and avidly makes art zines, comics, and prints. He is incredibly fond of imaginary, impossible, and invisible things.
