Fabric Oddities are misshapen and warped pieces of fabric that create rich textures and interest in your fabric and mixed media art work. In this class, we will be delighting in funky fabric textures and applications. I have been making these fabric confections for several years now. I am delighted to share some old and new techniques with you.

We will make a mixed bag of dimensional appliqués, embellishments and a collection of new fabric beads I have designed. These techniques will give you the tools to invent your own fabric oddities.

Alma Stoller is a fabric, fiber and mixed media artist. She teaches all over the country at various art retreats and conferences. Her writing has been published in major art publications like Somerset Studios and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. She was also featured on the Home and Garden channel in the ‘Crafter's Coast to Coast’ program. She creates several zines and  is currently working on a magazine called Crochetology. Her first book Fabric Beads Extravaganza will be released in the Summer of 2009.
