Princess Bug Doll
Deirdra Doan
Summer is a great time to come and dance through the flowers with me and this Sweet little "Princess Bug Doll".
In this class we will be making an easy and fun little fabric and paperclay doll. The combination of sculpting, painting, and sewing opens up endless possibilities for you to take with you when you leave this class.
First we will sew a fabric body, stuff it and apply paperclay. I will teach you a simple way to sculpt a nose and hair. While the clay is drying we will work on our arms, legs, dress and soft appliques. In the afternoon we will learn to paint a beautiful face. As soon as the paint is dry we will dress her. Then we will finish with embellishments and the soft appliques of birds, butterflies, bugs and flowers made from printed cotton fabrics. Now Little Princess Bug will be beautiful enough to fly with you through your Midsummer nights dream!
