Mixed Media Mind
Roxanne Padgett
Participants will create unique mixed media portraits, using fabrics, papers and paint. Begin the day learning the basic elements of drawing faces. No drawing experience necessary! Use one of your drawings as the starting point for your piece. You will begin the process of layering on a piece of twill or canvas with gesso and then paint and stamp with layers of paper and fabric scraps, crayons, stenciling, collage and hand and machine stitching lines. These portraits can become a book cover, journal pages or a wall piece.
