Aren’t you tired of spending half of your art time looking for your tools? Well here is the answer...the custom apron...made by you to hold everything you need to work uninterupted....find your glasses, camera, cell, scissors, brushes, pliers, pin cushion, tape measure, glue stick, your journal, pens, tape, beer opener...you get it...In this class we will take a pair of jeans and alter them to be a fun and useful apron with paint and embellishments. If you are more comfortable in a butcher type apron you can customize one of those....or both.
I , Syd McCutcheon, aka Sheep Floozy, am is a mixed media artist. I know ...who isn’t? But along with painting, book arts, collage and assemblage, I have a long time love affair with fabric, starting with needle and thread in nursery school. I find combining fabric with other mediums is especially exciting. I like using lots of color and mixing up the textures and materials. Adding paint to fabric is a natural next step.
I live in a small community, Ballard, near Solvang, CA and co-
runs a studio / workshop, where I teach and work, called the
ART CLINIC. Once a year I coordinate a benefit art faire for Domestic
Violence Solutions called Queen of Arts.
