Let’s explore the magic of using paint, collage and personal content to develop a piece that maps your thoughts in an unapparent way and fuses them together to create a finished piece.
Beautiful rich paper is a joy to work with. Buying it is one option but making your own is a better one…it is the first step in calling your work truly your own. We will begin by playing with fast paced surface design techniques, printing, brayers, stenciling and masking to create a big pile of papers to play with.
We will then employ several different journaling techniques onto our papers and background and begin to tear paper and images you have brought with you to collage with.
This is meant to be a “heart to hand” type of class…meaning that the true content will be evident only to you, but after all, you are the one that this piece is meant for. Others will see beautiful work, you will see your personal magic.
