Windows & Treasures

This workshop will explore a variety of media and materials with the intension of showcasing and protecting small treasures within your work. The focus of the class will be the use of wood, but we will also use metal, mica, leather, veneers, and a variety of papers to create niches to house your most precious objects.

• Sturdy sharp awl
• Scissors
• Japanese paper drill
• ¼ inch single bevel -Flexcut palm chisel (please check my website for more info on this tool)
• Exacto knife and blades
• Small cutting matte
• Small hammer, needle nose tweezers
• Assortment of small found objects and treasures (max. ¼ inch thick), stamps, insect wings,
