The Girly-Girl Bag

Janne Robberstad

This is a workshop where you learn to explore some of the endless possibilities in freestyle machine embroidery. You can finally make use of all those fabric-scraps, ribbons and beads lying around. Using techniques as applique and freestyle machine-embroidery, you will make your very own and quite unique purse or bag.

Janne Robberstad trained as an arts&crafts-teacher and specialized in textiles. After working over a decade with arts, theatre and costumes in folk high schools in Norway, she quit her teaching-job, to work full-time as an artist and costume-designer in 2007. She has designed costumes for several big musicals, including the national premiere of Miss Saigon and Chess. Her art is currently sailing the seven seas, as she has specialized in making decorations for the living quarters onboard workboats in the offshore-industry.
