In my hair salon days of NYC i was known as both The Hair Nurse & Bang Queen!
Hair has been my main art form for over 17 years now & i am finally about to share some of my hair secrets with you all. My Hair Nurse tittle was made official once i was published in comic book writer/gothic rock star Voltaire's book 'Oh My Goth'. I was known for making some of the biggest crazy muppet hair on the NYC underground club scene. At this time i also did very realistic hair extensions on famous fetish models. As for the name Bang Queen, that was my new title after i was published in 'Bust Magazine' & had people traveling from all over the country for me to cut their bangs.
This whole time i was working in a salon i was also getting a name for myself as a wig maker. My wigs/hair pieces were starting to be used for fashion shows, photo shoots, and more club kids from all of the world started rocking my creations. My designs were getting larger, brighter, & crazier looking every day like a giant octopus that is 4 feet long, mohawk bunny, bird headdress, hair planes.... I was on my way creating art wigs for circus/theater performers, burning man/mardi gras festivals. My wigs are also worn for daily & at weddings!
So in this class let's think BIG & outside the boxes. What hair color do you really dream of wearing?!
This class we will start with learning basic techniques on adding more hair to costume wig base. i will teach you how to tease/set hair
into a huge bouffant style and add fun things to decorate it to make it your wig... flowers, birds, butterflies, bows, dolls, beaded headdress...
think big, wild, crazy, bright, whimsical, high fashion, carnival.... to view examples of my wigs you can visit www.crudethings.com
