Love Burst

Getting tired of just dome shapes? Ever wanted to have a puffy shape that’s just a little more? I have your answer!  Join me for a day of puffing metal. We’ll puff out these great hearts using my top-secret, oh so easy, no hydraulic press needed, method. We’ll then saw them into little pendants and enamel them with powder glass that we fire with a torch. This should be an instant gratification class! If you’re a beginner don’t be shy! This will be a great class for you. If you have experience, then you will probably be able to make more than one! We’ll hammer, drill, saw and enamel out hearts out!

I’m a very lucky person. My partner Robert Smith reminds me all the time. The older I get the more I realize it. I’m lucky Robert’s so cool and that I found him. I’m lucky that I get to make things all day. And I get to teach people how to make things and get all jazzed on that energy. I get to teach both college students that keep me young as well as folks my own age. I get to live near the ocean in Wilmington, North Carolina. I get to kayak with Robert all the time, as he’s a kayak instructor. I was lucky enough to get a chance to go to graduate school late in life. I was lucky enough to make it into East Carolina University and study with Linda Darty, enameling guru, and Bob Ebendorf godfather of found object.  I’m lucky that my 15yr old daughter is cool, talented, interesting and lovely. I’m lucky to live a pretty creative life. And… best of all, I get to join you at Artfest!
