Go Figure!

kinda like paper dolls, but kinda not! Focus on the figure with a mixed media eye. I like to create and combine different pieces to create the figures. Techniques used in class will include creating layered painted paper, stamping and stenciling to create the “parts and pieces”. In addition we will use photos, color copies, fabric, and found materials to add to the figures. We will create some backgrounds for the figures on canvas, a journal and postcards. Some of the figures are moveable and removable from their backgrounds.

• sharp paper scissors
• ex-acto knife & something to cut on
• UHU glue sticks
• drawing materials- sharpies, pencils, paint pens, etc.
