Do you remember playing with paper dolls as a child? Well, get ready for a paper doll on steroids! We will cut out a doll from specially treated birch plywood using a jeweler’s saw and dress her up in a myriad of handmade costumes that you will create from paper, fabric and metal. To strengthen the paper and fabric, you may choose to dip them in wax for an added dimensional element. You will even learn the fragile art of waxing real butterfly wings! Magnets will be attached to the clothing so that you can dress your doll and display her for all of your friends to admire! Alter her outfit every day if you like for a constantly changing and interactive piece of art! Come play and enjoy a relaxed day filled with imagination and design!
