This is a great workshop with an opportunity to make a one of a kind sculpture and learn the skills to create a wide variety of objects. We will learn many techniques such as; bending and shaping wire, wire tinning ( just like soldering) how to best use and care for your tools, soldering iron and all cutting and clay tools. We will use a short amount of time covering basic anatomy so we can create a human figure and feel confident to create a caricature if we wish. The last part of the class we will be working with and learning about the paper clay. This is the material we will use for the head and shoulders of our sculpture. We will complete a wire and clay sculpture in class and discuss various ways you can mount our sculpture.
