We will be exploring a very early form of animation called the "Crank Magic Lantern". There are three levels of images stacked together and by moving a crank each image moves independantly of the others creating a jostling effect. We will use this old technology to explore our inner worlds and bring a little porthole for an outside viewer to peek into. The day will consist of spontaneous drawing exercises to tap into our inner worlds, painting our windows and constructing our devices.
