Creative Doodles
Traci Bautista
Explore storytelling with lines, shapes and marks. This workshop is all about seeing things with new eyes and creating art intuitively. You will start out painting a colorful background by making marks with handmade stamps and found tools and then layer randomly cut paper shapes onto the canvas. Let the canvas layers inspire your doodles. Learn techniques for layering marks with paint markers, gel pens and color pencils.
Kit Fee: $7
Supply List:
- 3-5 sheets of hot press Fabriano 140lb. watercolor paper (cut down a large piece of paper into smaller pieces)
- Scissors
- 2-1” foam brushes
- 10 favorite pens/markers
- Extra-fine black Sharpie PAINT marker (oil-based)
- Scotch brand permanent roller adhesive

Traci is creative director of treiC Designs, a mixed media artist, designer and author. She creates vibrant handmade journals, REVAMPED vintage clothing, handbags and collage paintings that are layered with rich textures of painted papers, stitched fabric, "girlie glam" ink drawings and free style lettering. Her artwork has been featured in various magazines, books and on HGTV & DIY. Traci is the author of, Collage Unleashed, and freelance writer for various craft and mixed media magazines, including Stampington & Co. publications. In 2008, Traci launched Collage Pauge, a line of collage adhesives and tools in JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby stores.
