Two printmaking techniques never before taught at Artfest are the base of this class: Gelatin printmaking and block printmaking. These techniques do not require any special tools or expensive paper, yet they are surprisingly exciting and result in beautiful hand printed art. After learning the techniques you will create a mixed media wall hanging that will reflect the beauty of nature combined with your own creativity.

• 4-5 small tubes of different colors of water based block printing ink
• White and other light colored tissue paper
• 8.5 x 11 Copy paper – white and colored
• 1 small (app. 5” x 8”) plexiglass
• 4” brayer
• dried and/or artificial leaves, flowers, plants that are pressed and flat
• feathers
