Fabulous Fearless Floorcloths

Bring your paints and the instructor will supply the hemmed canvas; we’re going to make colorful floorcloths with writing and stamping and great sweeps of color. Think borders, words, stamps, stencils, sponges and paint; we’ll layer ‘em up until they look awesome and then we’ll seal them with several coats of water based sealant so they can take the traffic. The instructor will cover composition and several lettering techniques and will demonstrate how to get movement and energy into your paintings. The canvas will be hemmed so that you have the option of hanging it on the wall. The project is easily rolled up for transport home.

Supply List:

• Acrylic Craft Paint OR Golden Fluids in colors you love plus white and black
• gel medium
• Brushes of various larger sizes, cheap bristle or hake okay
• several sizes of foam brushes (1”-4”size)
• rubber stamps
• stencils
• rubber stamp alphabets in any size
• collage materials you might like to incorporate
• scissors    
  
  
•    $15 kit fee (this is for the hemmed, gessoed canvas, bottles of black squeeze                         paints and several coats of the acrylic varnish sealer)
  
  
• Optional:
• foam rollers
• images to transfer (make sure they’re reversed)
• Speedy-cut block or a new sponge to cut up & stamp with hair dryer
