Abstract Pouring Frenzy
Patricia Seggebruch
This workshop is all about having fun and discovering color! Watercolor and ink pours and puddles, coloring with pastels and crayons, visual and tactile texturing, over painting with watercolor or fluid acrylic and abstract composition are all introduced. Sounds like a busy day-because it is! But everyone will come away excited and full of enthusiasm to begin ‘pouring it on’ on their own!
Supply List:
- Water colors-at least 5 to choose from (large quantities are used, so if you don’t already have a supply, purchase inexpensive one to begin)
- Watercolor pencils, crayons or pastels
- Watercolor paper-bring the sizes you are comfortable working on. I will demo on full sheets-22”x30”
- large brushes (2”to 4”) for pushing paint; I use inexpensive foam brushes-available from hardware and art supply
- Gator board or other ridged surface on which to attach your paper in order to move it around-several plastic covered cardboards can do the trick
- Things for ‘texturing’-suggestions not requirements-I will have some for loan
- Found objects-screen, bubble wrap, shells, carpet skid mat
- Rubber or other stamps
- Papers for collage
- **All of the items are suggested, based on what I use. If you do not have the items, or can not purchase them, call or email and we can work through alternatives.
- Kit fee: $10.00
- Includes:
- Golden gel medium for adhesive in collage
- Robert Doak fluid watercolor samples to use
- Golden Fluid Acrylic samples to use
- Use of found objects, texturing products
- Claybord and Yupo samples
- I look forward to an energetic, fun filled workshop!
