description

Watercolor can be your best friend or your worst enemy. If you try to make watercolor do what you want, it never will. However if you learn to flow with watercolor you receive surprising and beautiful results. In this workshop we will be exploring this relationship with the medium through self portraits. You will learn what makes a believable skin tone only using layers of red, blue and yellow, giving you a greater understanding of "transparent layer" color mixing.

Although this is a technique class you will be leaving with at least one if not several self portraits.

Tiphoni is relieved the Artfest 2008 site is finally done and hopes you all enjoy! She just graduated from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, June 2007. She couldn't be more excited!

Currently she is doing freelance web design full time while trying to find spare moments to work on her zine and comic strip series (both of which are yet to be released). Her goal is to be doing visual storytelling full-time through either comics/zines or children's books. But above all else she just likes to draw...alot.
