These beautiful books are art filled treasures that are as enchanting to the touch as to the eye. You will make one of these books in class and receive the patterns and instructions for the other. These books are a blend of the original metal reposse techniques along with many new techniques which speed up our work, but do not compromise the beauty and richness. The book utilizes multiple layers of reposse to create a niche where either a saint or a devil will reside. The Statues are engraved using a faux enameling technique on metal and are also three dimensional. The pages of the book are dyed using inks and paint to provide a vivid and striking backdrop for embellishment. The books are 6” high by 5” wide.

The Devil’s pages look like flames and fire exploding, while the saint’s pages are very Earthy and Airy. The process to create these pages makes them very tactile.
