of altered fabric and lace, embedding many hidden
elements along the way; buttons, sea shells, fibers,
broken bits of old jewelry, velvet leaves, seed pods,
twigs, and rusted bits found on walks will be trapped
and sewn under layers of organza or cheesecloth.
Create an enticing texture-filled piece with hidden
fragments and meaning. In this workshop we will
explore:
Fabric and paper altering: dying, stamping, machine
quilting and hand sewing. We will work on the design
principles of creating in multiples. We will also
cover how you can easily turn your square into a
fabulous gift cone!
