is a mixed media artist. I know ...who isn’t? But along with painting, book arts, collage and assemblage, she has a long time love affair with fabric starting with needle and thread in nursery school. Combining fabric with other mediums is especially exciting to Syd. She is at home with using lots of color and mixing up the textures and materials. Adding paint to fabric is a natural next step.
She lives in a small community, Ballard, near Solvang, CA and co-owns a studio / workshop, where she teaches and works, called the ART CLINIC. Once a year she puts on a benefit art faire for Domestic Violence Solutions called Queen of Arts.
