Construct a beautiful fiber necklace that is sure to be a work of art you will love to wear over and over again.  This workshop combines methods for sketching an image onto fabric, working with and mixing acrylic paints to develop your subject, and capture important details of delicate creatures from nature, along with exploring ways of creating a finished pendant. Using plain muslin, you will learn a fast and easy way of drawing your image onto a fiber surface. (No Drawing Skills Are Required!)  This sketch will serve as a guide to aid in bringing your animal to life by using simple acrylic paints. You will alsolearn how to stain your fabric with tea, coffee, and acrylic washes to make an interesting background. Finally, composing a piece from fabric, paint, and misc.ephemera a lovely necklace of nature will emerge that is heart-felt, and personal.
