Take a journey into the labyrinthine process of symbolism, intuition, mythology, and archetypal patterns. Defining our interconnectedness, symbolic language awakens nonverbal wisdom. This workshop seeks to creatively integrate the stories of our lives, weaving together cultural context, mythology and the symbolic language of our unconscious (dreams & emotions). Georgia has evolved a dynamic and fun process to open dialog with symbolism and synchronicity. Each participant may experience up to 4 paths; each choice ruled by one’s personal need to control the moment or abandon control and experience more mystery. Participants will then explore the symbolic language of the unconscious with hands-on play with a multitude of archetypal clay miniatures. These sculptures are designed for and used in Jungian Sandplay Therapy; they stir the creative imagination, including attractive shadow aspects, illuminating visible tensions of our polarities and further aid in the development of understanding one’s personal mythology through our attraction to particular symbols. Followed by a short learning session of some easy hand building techniques for creating symbolic miniatures, everyone should be able to make and finish several individual figures or a Quaternity Circle of four figures using quick drying material, Paperclay and basic acrylic paints or other coloring medium to highlight symbols.
