She is especially fascinated by elements with handwriting because of their beautiful textural qualities.

Tracie participates in a number of galleries and art shows throughout the Mid-west and Pacific regions.  Her collage work received national recognition in 2003 from NorthLight Book’s Art Competition, and recently, she was nominated “2006 Best of Show” at a Kansas City area Art Fair.

Marylin Huskamp

Marylin Huskamp is a self-taught artist, who has a love of fibers. She has worked with this medium in various ways for over 40 years. Her passion began when she started making dolls. It has since evolved into composing beautiful works of art through fiber fusion, fiber dyeing and painting. She carefully blends ribbons, lace, yarns, fabrics, buttons, and other ephemera to capture the viewer through her use of vibrant colors and interesting textures. She is constantly experimenting to find new and interesting ways to achieve greater depth in her pieces. She believes the only limit to what can be created with fibers is controlled by one’s imagination. Marylin’s motto is; “ In Art there are no mistakes –only diversions to greater creativity”.

Marylin participates in a number of art shows throughout the Mid-West, Pacific, and Southern regions of the country. Her work has also been featured in a Mid-West retail store specializing in home decor.
