Come spend the day with us constructing a NO SEW Landscape Fragment Journal. Since this journal is in landscape or extended format, it is a perfect opportunity to explore the concept of Nature’s Landscapes such as fields, streams, prairies, deserts, mountains, oceans, trees, birds, wildlife, plants, flowers, or maybe your own garden. This workshop combines bookbinding, and a NO SEW fusion technique to create a unique book. It will be an art treasure you will want to proudly display among your favorite things. Working with canvas board and the smallest fiber and/or paper scraps, you will learn a fast and easy fusion technique that will turn your journal cover into a work of art. This is a chance to use all of the saved fiber or paper snippets and bits that are too small for most projects. After making the journal cover, you will use ribbons and a small branch to bind your watercolor signatures. Finally, composing inside your journal - perhaps from gathered quotes, photos, memories, and found objects - pages about Nature that are sentimental, heart-felt, and personal.
