i never really had the opportunity to travel much... always wanted to tho. last year i ventured to los angeles for the first time... and by myself. i stayed in the little tokyo section of downtown. i spent most of my time looking around... i guess looking back... wondering aimlessly... picking up things... finding things... taking photos... but at the time... so many new discoveries... new street names... different buildings... getting lost... and finding my way... and getting lost again...

i got home and went through my suitcase and all these things that were fun for me to look through... but couldnt think of a reason to keep them...

so... of course...

i made some art with all the stuff collected along the way...

this way... i can share the feelings and adventures with others... better than yanking out a bag fulla random papers and findings and pictures and parts of words...

we will be making these mini environments filled with nick nacks and doo dads representing a place and time that was so amazing... words dont do it justice.
