Green Journaling

Bring in your art journal and we'll spend the day playing alchemists mixing up earth friendly paint and adhesive recipes.  Learning to make our own paints and glues from things like plants, minerals and even items that may already be in your pantry we will record and play with our creations within our art journals. You'll be surprised by how easy it can be!! Some of the recipes explored will be watercolors paints, gouache, the perfect paper glue & more!!  

Supply List:

• Art Journal
• Small, Medium & large paintbrushes
• container for washing brushes
• old rag or towel for wiping brushes
• pen or pencil
• something to function as a palette for mixing colors- this can be a sheet of wax paper, a round plastic palette, or an old tray.... anything you can put some paint on top of for mixing
• some collage papers
• 7-10 small containers for mixing recipes- this can be an old muffin tin, film containers, small cups, etc.
