Create a set of handcrafted tools to both make and fill journals. Weather permitting we will collect dried branches to make a bookbinding awl. We will hone natural bone to craft a folder to score, fold and burnish paper. In the Afternoon combining bamboo, feathers and natural bristles we will create a pair of mark making instruments; a quill and brush. The pleasure of making and filling journals is greatly enhanced by using handmade tools. And using a tool you yourself have made to fit your own hand can be an art form in itself.
