Brainsponging

When I think of my journal I don't think of a work of art but instead a tool I use to sponge out the excess thoughts and feelings that tend to overwhelm my brain. These thoughts manifest themselves each in their own way, some images, some text, sometimes just singular words that hang in my mind. My journal is never stressful or demanding, it is the place where anything goes, where my only concern is feeding it whatever is on my brain at that exact moment.

A portion of this class will also be spent on spontaneous character creation which is the way my brain most likes to express itself.

We all know more then we think we do, come learn how to loosen up and listen to these unconscious thoughts. Who knows what may come out!

Supply List

  • Your Journal
  • Your favorite drawing tools: pens, pencils, crayons, paint, anything you like.

When I think about who I am I think of someone who is very independent, loves adventure and experiencing anything and everything at least once. I tend to find humor in the most random things in life earning many groans from my sister about how "not-funny" those things are. But it keeps me laughing and giggling most parts of the day.

I graduated from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, June 2007. I am currently doing a daily drawing blog www.spontaneousbread.
blogspot.com
and my current project is some major renovation work to www.teeshamoore.com and my own site Tiphoni.com
