Supply List:

• What fun we are going to have, creating our Tool Kit. As you gather your favorite collections, keep in mind the scale of our project....everything will need to fit in or on a cigar box measuring about 6 1/2” x 8 1/2”.
  • Think of a color palette you would like for your kit. This will help you bring coordinated paint, papers, fabric and ephemera to use throughout.
  • A small photo of the “young you”. This should be no larger than 2” x 3”. Make 2 black and white ink jet copies on regular paper.
  • 3 rectangles of cotton fabric (quilter's cotton is great). Rip or cut these 3 1/2” x 8” for Permission Slip Bundles.
  • An old paintbrush for handle and 2 large buttons for attachment.
  • A small bundle of flowers for Handle Gently.
  • Acrylic paints for outside of box and for booklet, 3/4” paint brush, water container.
  • Favorite stamps and stamp pads. Include an alphabet set.
  • A collection of papers, maps, postage stamps etc. for collaging cigar box, booklet pages, Inspiration Box, and bundles. Using cigar wrappers is fun here too!
  • Your favorite ephemera including buttons, measuring tapes, metal frames, brads and eyelets.
  • Fabric scraps for collage. For booklet spine, cut or rip a piece of fabric 2” x 7”.
  • Fibers for embellishment to include, yarns, ribbons and laces.
  • Your favorite adhesives. I'll have mine to share.
  • Scissors, bone folder, brayer and writing pen.
  • Needle and thread if you like to sew things on.
