Working with a variety of sheet metals, colorful tin, imagery, acrylic, semi-precious stones and bezel cups ... you will construct a fabulous layered bracelet from the ground up! you will work on five copper panels and build upwards, adding layers that will be joined together with two different riveting techniques. each panel will have lots of texture and dimension and will be linked together with jump rings and finished with a clasp. hands-on techniques include creating rivets from brass nails, eyeleting through acrylic, etching, cutting, joinery, exploring various ways to add surface texture and color and more. there will also be demos of additional techniques not suited for the time constraints of a six-hour class. this workshop combines process with project and students will leave with a finished piece. includes a kit with everything you will need: your sheet metals, all rivet materials, jump rings, acrylic, bezel cups and semi-precious stones, imagery, a hand-out and more. instructors will also provide etching, patination and oxidation materials.
