If you love beautiful and unusual earrings that incorporate a variety of mixed-media, then come join us in this guided workshop that combines both process and project and explore endless design possibilities as you construct several unique pair using copper, brass, colorful tin can sheet metals, tiny tintypes, wire, beads, charms and more. hands-on techniques include and expand on some of our favorites: cold-connections, wirework, non toxic patination and oxidation techniques, bending, forming, texturing, etc. and we'll also introduce new ones, like working with hot laminate and using a jig. there will be additional demos and each student will leave class with at least four pair, all utilizing a different technique. 4 pair of sterling silver earwires, copper, brass and tin can sheet metal, a pair of tiny gem tintypes, assorted rivet materials, a hand-out and more. instructors will also supply patination and oxidation materials.
