lives and works in Western Pennsylvania. She came to art a little later in life, earning a BFA with a dual focus in painting and photography and a minor in art history, after earning a BS in Biology and a Master’s degree in Counseling. She works predominantly with mixed media artist books and photography with a strong inclination toward creating personal intimate works. She has been teaching workshops nationally and in the occasional local college classroom for the past six years. Her artwork and writing has been seen in the following magazines: The Studio, Art & Life, Somerset Studio where she was profiled in the Artist Portfolio feature of the Nov/Dec 2003 issue, Cloth Paper Scissors, Belle Armoire, and Shots. Book publications include Making Journals By Hand, Altered Books Collaborative Journals and Other Adventures in Bookmaking, and the following three upcoming book releases, Artful Paper Dolls, Plush: Demented Dolls, Curious Creatures, and Marvelous Monsters as well as a the sequel to Lark Books’ Altered Objects book. Her work has also been seen in various galleries, exhibits and private collections.
