In this class we will be taking a medium sized box, old or new, and turning it into a box we will treasure for always, to add treasures, and maybe to give as a lovely gift to someone we treasure. We will be learning how to add texture to the background using, sandpaper, paints, inks, stamps, and whatever else we can find. We will then add collage images and words to evoke feelings from the piece. Inside the box we can add a secret surprise for the one peering inside the box, maybe a poem, a special letter, or a treasure you wish to share.
